Sep 27, 2012 -- 11:01 amTeachers and related service professionals accepted into the Autism Certificate program may qualify for a $500 reimbursement upon Certificate completion. The TASN Autism and Tertiary Behavior Supports group (Formerly Kansas Instructional Support Network)(www.kansasasd.com) has established ten $500 reimbursement opportunities for educators and related service professionals who have completed their Autism Certificate and have excelled both as a student and at working with students with autism spectrum disorders.
To be considered for reimbursement, the following criteria must be met:
Have completed the Autism Certificate program or are in their last semester.
Employed as an educator or related service professional in Kansas.
Work with students with autism spectrum disorders.
Have not used financial aid or scholarships to pay tuition while completing the Autism Certificate program.
By November 1, 2012 submit a request for reimbursement to Terri Cooper Swanson, PSU – KC Metro Center, 12345 W 95th, Suite 204, Lenexa, KS 66215 or as an email attachment at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The request should include a short description (1-2 pages double spaced) of how you have implemented the knowledge and skill gained from the PSU Autism Certificate program with students with autism spectrum disorders.
Individuals selected by TASN Autism and Tertiary Behavior Supports and PSU to receive the reimbursement will be notified by December 3, 2012.
