Jan 06, 2015 -- 6:42 amRegistration opens February 2, 2015. This presentation will cover the Formal and Informal assessments that make up the TTAP system. The training will prepare participant teams to use both the Formal and Informal assessment tools in the development of IEP/Transition goals, benchmarks, or objectives for students with moderate and severe disabilities (ASD, ID, Downs Syndrome, Social Language Disorders, etc.). Examples of visual supports and procedural task analyses for implementing goals will be provided to participants. The TTAP provides detailed information about vocational and behavioral strengths and needs not included in interest inventories. This training will be most useful for School Psychologist’s, Transition Specialists, Middle School and Secondary Special Education Teachers, and other related service providers (SLP’s, OT’s, Social Workers, Counselors) involved in the assessment and transition planning process for more complex students.
All participants will be expected to attend both days of the training with no exceptions. During the training, teams will schedule a date for follow up on-site coaching by one of the TASN A&TBS team members.This training is approved for continuing education clock hours for Kansas licensed SpeechLanguagePathologists by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services.
