Jan 24, 2012 -- 11:58 amKISN will be bringing Paula Kluth to Kansas for a September 21, 2012 training on Differentiating Instruction. It will be held in Wichita and registration materials will go out to Directors in mid-May. There is a $20 registration fee to cover the costs of breaks, lunch and handouts that are provided for attendees.
The learner objectives for this training are: learn an organizing framework for differentiating instruction; learn a rationale for differentiation, active learning and responsive classrooms; explore at least four ways to differentiate instruction in K-12 classrooms (adapting formats, changing teaching strategies, adding personal supports, using a range of materials); discuss how to use paraprofessional and co-teaching support effectively and efficiently; be introduced to at least 10 games/active learning structures that can be used immediately to increase student participation and engagement in inclusive classrooms; introduction to at least 10 teacher-created materials/products that can be used immediately in inclusive classrooms.
